Leave a Legacy

What is a Planned or Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is a powerful philanthropic strategy. It involves the contribution or transfer of assets to a nonprofit organization either during your lifetime or as part of your estate plan.

Here at Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation (LAMVCF), we strongly believe that planned gifts represent more than mere financial transactions; they are a commitment to securing your family’s future well-being, while ensuring an enduring legacy for the generations to come. Planned gifts, in fact, were the original reason the foundation was created over 30 years ago.

You don’t have to be wealthy. Your gift, in any amount, is deeply impactful and appreciated. When you designate a planned gift to LAMVCF, you’ll automatically be invited to join our Legacy Circle.

Benefits of Planned Giving

The true beauty of a planned gift is that it can work in tandem with other family priorities and provide dual impact, benefitting both the community and your loved ones. Planned giving is not an “all or nothing” option; gifts can exist side-by-side with multiple beneficiaries.

By partnering with LAMVCF, you are assured long-term, stable financial stewardship for your charitable contributions. We offer low-risk investment options that help grow your gift, and also highlight potential tax incentives to enhance your financial position.

Working closely with you and your family, our team can help tailor a legacy that supports your vision for the future. Utilizing our 30+ years of knowledge of local needs and giving opportunities, you can craft a profound impact on the community you care so much about.
