Laurel Iverson

Laurel Iverson joined LAMVCF in 2014. An active community volunteer, she is currently chair of the Los Altos/Los Altos Hills Joint Volunteer Awards Committee, a Block Action Team (BAT) leader, and a volunteer at Hope’s Corner. She has served as a mentor with MVLA Scholars, as a Public Arts Commissioner for the City of Los Altos, as a board member and marketing chair of Mountain View Los Altos High School Foundation, board member and secretary of Los Altos Educational Foundation, and PTA president at Oak School.

She and her husband, Bob, have lived in Los Altos since 2002 and are empty-nesters, with their two children, Matt and Annie, now living in San Francisco. Three causes that get her heart beating and/or breaking: food insecurity in this community of great wealth; the desperate need for accessible and affordable mental health services; and trees and the urban canopy, to both alleviate the effects of climate change and increase the beauty in the community.
