Karah Giesecke joined LAMVCF in June of 2023 as Development Associate. She is a development professional with five years of nonprofit and community organization experience, most recently at Fit Kids, a nonprofit supporting youth physical activity and mental health.

A recent graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Karah holds a Bachelors in Anthropology and History and conducted high honors winning research on the intersection of equity, race, medicine and gender. She is involved with the Bay Area social dance scene as a dancer and dj, has taught Lindy Hop at Cal and Stanford, and dances West Coast Swing competitively.

Raised between the East Bay, Indiana, Germany and Greece, Karah is a global citizen who is passionate about the importance of community and the role organizations like LAMVCF play in cultivating belonging.
