The Center for Age-Friendly Excellence provides leadership for Age-Friendly Communities. The Center promotes intergenerational collaboration, best practices, program development, applied research, and information dissemination to Los Altos and other local communities.

MVLA Service League of Boys enables parents and their high-school aged sons to initiate and promote educational and charitable endeavors that foster community responsibility, as well as strengthen their parent-son relationships.

Established to ignite a capital campaign to support a groundbreaking new theater to downtown Los Altos, bringing together civic pride, artistic innovation, and smart fiscal management.
Community Women's Chorus
Community Women’s Chorus is an ensemble of dedicated singers who perform uplifting choral music for seniors in senior living facilities and memory care centers. We perform at Los Altos, Mountain View, Cupertino, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park facilities.

MVLA Scholars
MVLA Serving low-income first-generation college students from Mountain View and Los Altos, providing ongoing financial support, dedicated mentoring, with emphasis on career readiness and community-based network ensure our Scholars are empowered to succeed.
Resilient Los Altos
Resilient Los Altos is dedicated to improving the resilience of the community of Los Altos, California, and adjacent areas. Their goal is to work with major stakeholders to help residents be prepared to handle major emergencies.
Soil & Water Garden
A group of greater Mountain View residents with a love for the outdoors, getting our hands dirty, and creating DIY projects. They aim to help build a community space where people can come to gather, garden, create, and learn from each other.
Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra (TACO)
TACO is a full symphonic orchestra with musicians from around the Bay Area who gather once a month in Los Altos or Mountain View to play music for fun. It’s a social and supportive intergenerational community with musicians of all skill levels and talents.
Los Altos Institution on Politics, Policy, Law, and the Economy (LAI)
America's first high school student-run and oriented policy think tank hosts events, conducts research, and works to build better policy education and dialogue worldwide and in our community.
Marco's Mission
Spreading awareness, resources, support and preventative measures addressing the dangers of addiction and substance abuse. This project is dedicated to 19-year-old Marco Toper, who lost his life in February of 2024 to an overdose.
Together We Can (TWC)
This membership organization is designed for youth to give back in a meaningful way. Their goal is to have girls find out the true needs of their community and work together to decide how best to fill in the gaps.
Stewards of the Land
Stewards of the Land (SOL) is a Mountain View-based project that aims to create a thriving, community-rooted space where low-income and displaced residents can access permanent, dignified housing, grow food, share culture, and shape the future of their community.
Santa Clara County Teen CERT Volunteer Program (Teen CERT)
The Santa Clara County Teen Community Emergency Response Team (Teen CERT) is a youth-focused program that trains teens in emergency preparedness and disaster response.
Our Alumni Projects Driving Community Impact
Fondo de Solidaridad de Mountain View
This all-volunteer, multi-racial, and cross-class collaboration led by working-class Latina immigrants started as a fiscally sponsored project of LAMVCF disbursing over $2M in hardship funds during COVID. In 2024, FSMV launched as a nonprofit organization, Mountain View Community Land Trust.
Mentor Tutor Connection
Mentor Tutor Connection aims to enhance the academic, social, and emotional growth of students through meaningful connections with adult mentors and tutors. MTC was one the LAMVCF’s earliest fiscally sponsored projects and launched as a nonprofit organization in 2010.
Living Classroom
Living Classroom partners with schools to expose students to environmental literacy through hands-on garden based lessons in edible and native gardens cultivated at their school. Living Classroom began as a fiscally sponsored project of LAMVCF in 2009 and launched as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2013.
WomenSV
WomenSV empower survivors, trains providers and educates the community to break the cycle of covert abuse and coercive control in intimate partner relationships. WomenSV began as a fiscally sponsored project in 2011 and launched as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2017.
