Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation (LAMVCF) Returns as Primary Sponsor for Compassion Week 2025
The Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation (LAMVCF) is honored to return as the primary sponsor of Compassion Week 2025, a weeklong gathering of neighbors, service, and community spirit from October 4–12 for the Santa Clara and San Mateo communities.
“Compassion Week is a reminder of the power of service to bring people together,” said Abi Karlin-Resnick, Program Officer at LAMVCF. “By volunteering side by side, neighbors strengthen connections and help create lasting change.”
More than 4,000 community members will come together as we celebrate the 13th year of Compassion Week. This year will feature dozens of local nonprofits, community impact projects, and forums on teen mental wellness, housing, and immigration.
“In these times of division, we are thrilled to bring the community together for service and fu,n knowing that each individual action has a positive impact in our neighborhoods, with our families, and for all who participate,” said Jan McDaniel, Compassion Week founder.
Volunteer opportunities are available both in-person and online, ensuring everyone can take part. To learn more and sign up, visit compassionweeklosaltos.org or siliconvalleyvolunteers.org.
