About LACF’s 2020 Nonprofit Relief Fund
LACF launched the 2020 Nonprofit Relief Fund in March 2020 to support local nonprofit organizations and services affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Thanks to your support, the Foundation raised nearly $400,000 that was distributed in four funding rounds. Intentionally, LACF provided general operating support for organizations funded through the Nonprofit Relief Fund.
Rounds One and Two
Organizations in Rounds One and Two received emergency funding to provide immediate services to community residents suffering from life-altering issues stemming from the pandemic. These organizations each had a funding relationship with LACF.
Round Two Recipients
- Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC)*
- Community Services Agency (CSA)*
- El Camino Health Foundation*
- Health Trust*
- Hope’s Corner
- Next Door Solutions

Rounds Three and Four
Grants made in Rounds Three and Four provided funding to arts and culture, education, mental health, food insecurity, and equity-focused organizations responding to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Round Three Recipients
LACF remains dedicated to effectively serving the needs of our community during this unprecedented time today - and moving forward. The immediate need to provide emergency relief has dissipated somewhat. To contribute to our local community’s efforts as we rebuild and reimagine how the nonprofit sector will emerge, we continue to seek support to fund efforts that will ensure community resiliency.
We hope you will work with us to help our communities reemerge stronger and more vibrant. Please consider a donation to LACF’s Community Impact Fund.
