Partnerships for Good

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, LACF established key partnerships with the City of Mountain View and the City of Los Altos to provide specific funds to support impacted businesses and residents. Through #TogetherMV (with the City of Mountain View), LACF helped provide more than $1.1 million to community organizations, small businesses, and residents. Through the Los Altos Small Business Relief Fund (with the City of Los Altos and the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce), LACF helped support small businesses affected by the pandemic.
Civic Spotlight

Margaret Abe-Koga, Mayor (2020), City of Mountain View
“The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Mountain View residents and our local businesses required an immediate civic response as well as engagement with local community leaders. Thanks to our partnership with Los Altos Community Foundation through the #TogetherMV initiative, we were able to quickly provide a donation portal to collect funds and bring critical rent relief and small business funding to those who needed it most."
LAMV-CF Encourages Local Residents in Hands-On Community Engagement

Compassion Week brings residents together to build a strong, compassionate, and empathetic community through volunteer opportunities that expand participants’ understanding of local and global needs. An official sponsor in 2019 and 2020, LAMV-CF partnered - and collaborated - with Compassion Week to inspire local residents to actively engage in philanthropy and volunteer service. In 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 3,125 volunteers safely participated in 135 service projects both at home and remotely.
