But the old abode is headquarters for a foundation with a diverse lineup of community-building services – from nurturing and funding non-profit groups to offering mediation and leadership classes.

The Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation (LAMV-CF), in its 20th year, manages residents’ donor-advised funds and disburses most of its annual $200,000 allocation from the Los Altos-based David and Lucile Packard Foundation to non-profit groups.
